  • Dr Rajah trained as an Orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Natal.
  • Completed a fellowship in Upper Limb and Shoulder Surgery at the Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital in Dublin.
  • Current vice-president of the African Shoulder and Elbow Society (AfSES)
  • A past president of the Society of South African Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (SASES)
  • A past president of the South African Orthopaedic Association (SAOA)
  • Served as chairperson of the Physician Advisory Board (PAB) for Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital.
  • He has arranged numerous national meetings on shoulder and elbow surgery and incorporates post-graduate shoulder surgery teaching into his practice in South Africa and Africa.
He is focused on Orthopaedic Surgery of the shoulder and upper limb; with emphasis on sports injuries, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, and joint replacement surgery at the shoulder, elbow, and hand.
  • Registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon
  • A member of the CMSA (College of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).
  • A member of the SASES (Society of South African Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, AfSES (African Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon), SASSH (South African Society for Surgery of the Hand), ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine), IWAS (International Wrist Arthroscopy Society) and the SAOA (South African Orthopaedic Association)
